Sunnersberg Parish, with its seven cemeteries and eight churches, is seeking a cemetery caretaker for a permanent position starting April 22, 2025. You will primarily work at two of the cemeteries and be part of a team of five caretakers.

Job Responsibilities

The work mainly involves landscape maintenance; mowing and trimming grass areas, clearing and raking paths, trimming hedges, planting, cleaning and watering maintenance graves, as well as burial of casket and urn graves.

Internal duties during funerals, weddings, baptisms, and services on weekdays, evenings, and weekends are also included. During these occasions, you will be responsible for managing sound, PowerPoint, and preparing church refreshments. At funerals, you will greet the funeral representative to assist them on site. Simpler administrative tasks such as managing time reporting, scheduling, and statistical reporting via mobile phone are also part of the job.

Qualifications

Gardening education or documented professional experience in cemetery or park work is advantageous.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

· Interest in landscape work and an eye for what needs to be done

· Ability to take initiative and organize your own work

· Socially competent in interacting with people at cemeteries and during services and church ceremonies (baptism, wedding, funeral)

About the Workplace

Sunnersberg Parish is located in Lidköping Municipality, covering both rural and urban areas. The parish offers a variety of activities and meeting places for all ages and also runs a preschool.
