Job Responsibilities

As a class teacher for grade 5, your work will involve responsibility for the students' learning and development through teaching, guidance, and support. You will base your work on the national curriculum but with the support of the Waldorf school's curriculum A Path to Freedom. You will select methods, working methods, and content based on individual needs and conditions to ensure that students have good opportunities to meet the knowledge requirements.

Documenting, following up, and evaluating, as well as communicating students' development with guardians, are other important tasks included.

Experience and Qualities

We are looking for a certified primary school teacher. If you have experience in pedagogical work and other educational training, that may also be of interest. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. It is also advantageous if you have prior experience as a Waldorf teacher.

You are comfortable with responsibility and independent work. You easily build trusting relationships and collaborate with students and guardians. You see the advantages of good cooperation between colleagues, student health teams, and school management.

As a teacher, you have a clear pedagogical leadership in your classroom and the ability to adapt teaching based on the needs present among the students. You enjoy working creatively and are happy to come up with new ideas. We value your ability to work in a structured manner and to plan and organize your work effectively.

About Us

Rudolf Steiner School in Norrköping was founded in 1975. Today, the school accommodates about 225 students from preschool class up to grade 9. We are an independent, non-profit school and one of about 1000 Waldorf schools around the world.

Rudolf Steiner School conducts teaching in a thoughtful environment that allows individuals to grow and develop through studies and play. All senses are involved in learning, which can consist of practical, aesthetic, and academic elements. The educator's meeting with the student is characterized by sensitivity and curiosity and always takes into account the individual.

The Waldorf school bases its teaching on its own curriculum; A Path to Freedom, which is integrated with the national curriculum Lgr 22.
