About the roleYou will work in a team alongside physiotherapists, nurses, and care staff, and your task is to provide quality of life. You see each individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs. In the role of occupational therapist, you will work with residents to find the best ways to use their own abilities in everyday life. You support and motivate individuals to develop and maintain their physical, cognitive, and social abilities. This often involves making assessments and adapting the everyday environment. You will also trial and prescribe physical and cognitive aids. You will guide your colleagues in rehabilitative efforts, approaches, transfer techniques, etc. You will often have contact with the residents' relatives.

About Villa Telegrafen

We are now building our new nursing home Villa Telegrafen in the beautiful coastal town of Nynäshamn. Welcome to a modern, climate-smart residence where we offer individually tailored care with heart, integrity, and choice. We focus on physical activity, but also provide opportunities to relax. We have a pleasant common room for group activities, a wonderful rooftop terrace with a view of the sea, and a beautiful and peaceful courtyard with seating and greenery. The residence is expected to be ready for move-in in October 2025.

The residence has its own gym for residents both indoors and outdoors.

• Dementia certification: We will become a dementia-certified residence in 2026, which means that all of us working here are trained in dementia and response through Demensakademin (https://www.vardaga.se/var-aldreomsorg/demens/).• Needs-based wish schedule: We apply a needs-based wish schedule. This means that you as an employee have the opportunity to influence your own working hours based on needs and wishes. We schedule for 10 weeks at a time.• Young Care: We have a collaboration with the company Young Care (https://www.vardaga.se/var-aldreomsorg/ung-omsorg-pa-vara-boenden/). This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Young Care engages in various activities with us to enhance the experience for the residents.• Group managers: You have a manager close to you who spends part of their time working in the operation. This can also be a career opportunity for you as a care assistant.• Animals in care: Here we work with animals in care and have regular visits from therapy animals.• VR technology: We have implemented VR technology in the residence, allowing residents to experience various trips, adventures, or games through VR glasses. Your experience and knowledgeWe believe that you who are applying to us:

You are a licensed occupational therapist, and we would prefer that you have several years of experience in elderly care. You have good computer skills and experience in documentation. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement.
