Description

The Security Department of the Swedish Migration Agency is part of the head office and is responsible for security throughout the authority. We consist of around 40 employees in three units. The department is led by our Security Director, who is also part of the agency's management.

You will work in an environment with many external contacts and international connections. The operations are subject to complex threat scenarios and are supported by technical systems with high security and availability requirements. Responsibilities

The Security Department has a broad portfolio that, in addition to information security, includes security protection, crisis preparedness, total defense, physical/technical security, travel security, employee protection, and personnel security.

As an expert in information security, you will work closely with several colleagues in the department and in close collaboration with the IT Security Unit and the Digitalization and Development Department. The position involves a mix of governance and monitoring tasks with support for the operations.

As an expert in information security, you will support the organization's security work in several ways.

The agency is actively involved in development work, particularly in digitalization, and often collaborates with external partners in various areas.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

has an academic degree or equivalent experience in information security work that we consider relevant to the position,
has at least 5 years of experience in working with information security in a public authority or large organization, or as a consultant,
has experience in planning and conducting information classification and risk analyzes in a public authority and/or large organization,
has good knowledge of laws, regulations, directives, and standards in the field.

It is advantageous if you:

have other formal education beyond a university degree or equivalent, in the field of information security,
have experience in monitoring information security work in a public authority and/or large organization,
have experience in working with IT security,
have experience in procurement/acquisitions,
have worked with public access and confidentiality legislation,
have experience in inter-agency collaboration.
