Biomedical Analyst for Clinical Chemistry and Transfusion Medicine in Varberg

Job Responsibilities

Within Clinical Chemistry, there is a wide range of analyses including sections for general/immunochemistry, hematology, coagulation, sample reception, and sampling. We collaborate with the microbiologist in Halmstad and perform certain PCR analyses, among others.

At the blood center, we work with blood donation and serological analyses. We have a blood donation branch at the healthcare center in Falkenberg.

The operations are conducted around the clock, and you will primarily work varying day, evening, and weekend shifts.

About the Workplace

Clinical Chemistry and Transfusion Medicine in Halland are part of Medical Diagnostics Halland, which belongs to the ADH Administration, Ambulance Diagnostics Health. We operate at the hospitals in Halmstad, Varberg, and Kungsbacka, as well as in Falkenberg. We have about 150 employees in Halland, with over 50 individuals working in Varberg.

The largest staff category is biomedical analysts, but you will also work alongside laboratory assistants, nurses, nursing assistants, administrative staff, hospital chemists, and doctors.

In Varberg, we conduct a high-tech operation that is constantly evolving. We are quality-conscious with the patient in focus, and we have a good collaboration with our customers.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed biomedical analyst with a specialization in laboratory medicine or an older education with a focus on Clinical Chemistry.

It is important that you have good teamwork skills, are quality-conscious, and enjoy varied tasks and work pace.

Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
