Responsibilities

As a junior CAD designer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing high-precision components and machine systems through detailed 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks. You will create designs from scratch based on specific requirements, determining dimensions, tolerances, and material selection to meet both technical and functional specifications. The work includes in-depth analysis of design manufacturability and optimization to ensure cost-effective production. The role also involves performing simulations and strength calculations to support your designs and revising the design based on feedback from manufacturing and other engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with the project team to ensure that all technical solutions meet production standards and quality requirements.

• Develop and optimize high-precision components and machine systems through 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks
• Create designs based on requirements, as well as determine dimensions, tolerances, and material selection
• Analysis of design manufacturability and optimization to ensure cost-effective production
• Perform simulations and strength calculations and revise the design based on feedback
• Close collaboration with the project team

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Vocational degree or academic degree containing CAD design or equivalent relevant education
• Some years of work experience in CAD design is a merit
• Knowledge of SolidWorks 3D is a merit
• Very good skills in Swedish and English in both speech and writing
• Driver's license B
