Meraskog was founded in 2009 and is today a wholly-owned subsidiary of the largest forest owners' association in northern Sweden - Norra Skog, which has over 650 employees.
Since its inception, Meraskog has grown significantly and today has about 30 employees operating in Härjedalen, Hälsingland, Dalarna, Värmland, and Småland. They are in an expansive phase and are now seeking reinforcement for their offices in Härjedalen and Värmland.
About the Role
As a forest advisor, you will primarily work on building good relationships with forest owners and contractors in your local area and provide professional advice to customers on matters such as management, development, and sustainability. You help the customer refine their properties in accordance with set goals and based on Meraskog's service offerings.
As a forest advisor, you will be part of a team of forest economists, marketing experts, and managers. Your responsibilities include selling Meraskog's services and driving ongoing projects where you are responsible for coordinating and planning the various parties' efforts to ensure that everything runs according to agreement, schedule, and budget.
You will be based either at your office or remotely, giving you great freedom to plan your days independently. This role offers and requires flexibility as you are often out in the forest or visiting customers. In addition to this, you will also handle the administration in your sales and ongoing projects.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in forestry and either forestry education or work experience with a forestry focus. Ideally, you have worked in forestry advisory or sales, or as a forestry planner or inspector.
As a person, you are independent and adept at driving your own projects, taking initiative, and planning and coordinating your tasks in a structured manner. Furthermore, you have a business mindset and are a communicative individual who places great emphasis on building long-term relationships based on trust.
Requirements for the Position
- Work experience in forestry operations and/or relevant forestry education such as forestry master, forest manager, or similar
- Genuine interest in forestry
- Driver's license (B)
- Excellent knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
Preferred Qualifications
- Sales experience
- Knowledge of certifications such as PEFC and FSC

Start Date: As soon as possible or by agreement
Assignment Form: Permanent employment. You will be employed directly by Meraskog with a 6-month probationary period
Location: Sveg and surrounding areas, as well as Arvika and surrounding areas. You will be based at the local office but have the opportunity to work from home
