Founded in 2009, Meraskog is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northern Sweden's largest forest owners' association - Norra Skog, which has over 650 employees.

Since its inception, Meraskog has grown significantly and now has about 30 employees working in Härjedalen, Hälsingland, Dalarna, and Värmland. They are in an expansive phase and are now seeking reinforcement for their offices in Härjedalen and Värmland.

About the role

As a forest advisor, you will primarily work to build good relationships with forest owners and entrepreneurs in your area and provide professional advice to customers on issues related to management, development, and sustainability. You will help the customer enhance their properties in accordance with set goals and based on Meraskog's service offerings.

As a forest advisor, you will be part of a team of forest economists, marketing experts, and managers. Your tasks will include selling Meraskog's services and managing ongoing projects where you are responsible for coordinating and planning the various parties' efforts and ensuring that everything runs according to agreements, timelines, and budgets.

In this role, you will either work from the office you belong to or from home, and you will have great freedom to plan your days independently. This is a role that both offers and requires flexibility as you will often be out in the forest or visiting customers. In addition, you will also handle the administration of your sales and ongoing projects.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in forestry and who has a forestry education or relevant work experience in the field. Ideally, you have worked with forestry advice or sales, or as a forestry planner or inspector.

As a person, you are independent and have a knack for driving your own projects, taking initiative, and planning and coordinating your tasks in a structured way. Furthermore, you have a business mindset and are a communicative person who places great importance on long-term relationship building based on trust.

Requirements for the position

  • Work experience in forestry and/or relevant forestry education such as forest engineer, forest master, or similar
  • Genuine interest in forestry
  • Driving license B
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious

  • Experience in sales
  • Knowledge of certifications such as PEFC and FSC

Other

Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement

Employment type: Permanent position. You will be employed directly by Meraskog with a 6-month probationary period

Location: Sveg and surrounding areas as well as Arvika and surrounding areas. You will work from the local office but have the option to work from home
