What does the job as a nurse at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?

A nurse at Norlandia Elderly Care is a valuable key person, and we are looking for someone who is skilled in their professional role and enjoys meeting people in different situations. Together in the team with care tasks, rehabilitation, and management, we collaborate around the resident to provide a good life every day.

The specific competence of the licensed nurse is care. It encompasses both the scientific knowledge area and the patient-centered work based on a humanistic view of the individual. You are responsible for meeting our residents' health care needs.

As a nurse, you are responsible for and lead the care work. This means independently, in team collaboration, and in partnership with the resident and their relatives, being responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the care. An important task is also to supervise, support, and educate other care staff and be a good role model for your colleagues.

You work with care in everything you do with great personal responsibility and have the ability to prioritize and lead others even in changing circumstances. Flexibility and collegial cooperation are of great importance in the assignment.

About Karl Nordström's Road Nursing Home

Karl Nordström's Road was Norlandia's first residence in Sweden when we took over the operation once upon a time. We work on behalf of Varberg Municipality. The residence consists of 51 apartments distributed between 4 houses. 2 of the houses are focused on dementia. The nursing home is beautifully located in the area around the Coast Hotel with the beach promenade towards central Varberg on one side and Apelviken on the other. We believe in the power of the team to make a difference for the elderly; together, we create conditions for the elderly to experience a GOOD LIFE - EVERY DAY!

Who are we looking for?

• We are looking for a licensed nurse with professional experience
• It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience as a nurse in elderly care
• You need to have good knowledge of the healthcare regulations
• You master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing
• We prefer that you have knowledge to document based on ICF and KVÅ (international and national classifications and code systems)
• You need to have good collaboration and educational skills to lead the care
• We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations

Employment type: permanent

Extent: 80-100% by agreement

Entry: By agreement

Probation: we apply a 6-month probationary period

Working hours: Weekdays without holidays, daytime.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Personal suitability will be given great importance.

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after the work permit has been verified, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.
