About the Role

AFRY is one of the leading players in urban development in the Nordics, and thanks to our unique breadth, we are proud to deliver the infrastructure solutions of the future together with our colleagues from other technical areas.

Now we are looking for a dedicated leader for our urban development section in Luleå and Piteå!

As a section manager with us, you will have a role with great variation, the opportunity for many contacts and customer meetings with the responsibility to achieve successful and sustainable business. You are responsible for the entire section's operations including strategies, profitability, marketing, quality, personnel, and competence development. You combine your managerial role with also working as a consultant for some time, preferably as a project manager or technical specialist.

The section currently consists of about 25 employees, including three group managers who report to you. Together, you lead and drive the section forward. You report to the regional manager and sit on the region's management team. The region consists of over 230 employees and extends geographically from Borlänge in the south to Kiruna in the north.

Job Requirements

We are looking for someone who is passionate about team development, satisfied customers, and has a great interest in the section's services! A lot is happening in our region, and we are looking for someone who is curious, driven, and sees new business opportunities.

For this role, we see that you have many years of experience in the industry, are excellent at doing business, and have a good understanding of the technical area's issues. We prefer that you have work experience as a consultant, but if you have worked on the entrepreneurial or client side, that is also interesting. In essence, you have a relevant further education and a great interest in technology and urban development.

You have previously demonstrated good leadership and can naturally engage and motivate. We see that you have good social skills and enjoy being challenged both technically and in terms of business and leadership. You are relationship-building, and it is a great advantage if you have an established network in the industry. Of course, you enjoy collaborating and thrive on sharing your knowledge with both customers and colleagues. Furthermore, you are a coaching team player with good references in creating high-performing teams. For this role, we also see that you master Swedish and English fluently and have an easy time expressing yourself verbally and in writing. Do you want to develop together with us?
