Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership expertise at our depot in Luleå. Here, we specialize in the maintenance of railway vehicles.

You will report to Lisa Harlin (Project and site manager) and work together with cross-functional teams with colleagues from, among others, industrialization, supply chain, quality, and engineering in the daily work.

In the role of Operations manager, you will lead the operational and strategic work based on the company's overall goals, with a focus on delivery, traffic safety, and quality driving and developing the work forward. Your part of the business includes over 20 people working day and night, and you will have two direct reporting production leaders. Your coaching leadership contributes to motivating and engaging your employees.

You work with Lean, target management, and continuous improvements and use the knowledge and commitment of all employees to develop and deliver a world-class customer experience.

With your outstanding leadership skills, you can inspire, motivate, and lead our depot to achieve great success.

The position also includes:

• Responsible for the operation and customer delivery at the depot.
• Work with goal setting and result follow-up.
• Lead, involve, engage, and develop the staff.
• Drive systematic improvement work aimed at increased safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Drive the development of production operations and carry out activities in line with the company's high goals.
• Have full responsibility for work environment/traffic safety.
• Develop and follow up on KPIs for the business and, if necessary, initiate and implement measures.
• Responsible for the budget and follow up on costs.
• Collaborate with the trade unions.
• Promote good and transparent communication and coordination between the company's departments and external parties.
• Participate in relevant strategic/business issues.

Who are you?

You have a very strong drive. You are genuinely interested in interacting with teams and understanding their needs to successfully achieve business goals.

You are a coaching leader, accustomed to getting others on board through your commitment and involvement, and you enjoy seeing others grow. You are a good listener.

To succeed in the role:

• Documented experience in a leadership position and leadership
• You are used to working with health, environment, and safety
• Experience in business development/change management
• Good knowledge of the Office packages and experience working in different systems. Ability to quickly adapt to new programs and tools.
• We would like you to have experience in production/manufacturing
• Knowledge of the train industry is advantageous
• Fluent in English and Swedish
