We are now offering an interesting position where you will work broadly with both improvements and maintenance of existing technology, as well as implementation of new technology and also be involved in the development of automation solutions.

As an automation engineer, you will be a support function to the organization and be part of a team consisting of another automation engineer, electrical technicians, maintenance technicians, tool technicians, production technicians, project managers, a total of 12 people. Automation engineers work closely with maintenance and R&D. The tasks are broad and varied and also include areas such as driving projects and training project managers/Team Leaders in your area.

We believe that the person we are looking for has a post-secondary education in automation, electronics, production, mechanics, or similar, but we do not close any doors for those who have achieved a similar level of competence through solid experience. Good computer skills are a prerequisite for success in the role, and it is an advantage if you have experience in PLC programming or programming in general.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the availability of control systems such as PLC/DCS/HMI and low voltage and initiate and implement improvements on both equipment and preventive maintenance
• Develop standards for maintenance of control systems such as PLC/DCS/HMI and low voltage
• Develop, or revise, preventive maintenance for PLC/DCS/HMI and low voltage
• Develop and improve standards, instructions, and methods for maintenance and operational systems
• Participate in the acquisition of new equipment and sometimes also drive these issues towards relevant forums
• Develop spare parts preparation for new equipment in the relevant area, as well as replacement for outgoing spare parts
• Lead troubleshooting in your area
• Train Production Leaders/Team Leaders in your area
• Act as a support function/resource to the organization

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Education to Civil Engineer or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably in automation, electronics, production, mechanics, or similar. Alternatively, equivalent level of competence acquired through solid experience
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Good computer skills, preferably including programming and preferably in Unix or Linux

Meritorious:

• Experience in automation
• Knowledge in PLC programming, preferably Siemens S7, ABB, or Beckhoff
• Experience with ABB robots
• General knowledge in programming, preferably Unix or Linux
• Experience from manufacturing industry
