We are a well-functioning health center with approximately 4,400 registered citizens.
Our team consists of general practitioners, resident doctors, advanced specialist nurses, district nurses, nurses, radiographers, laboratory staff, child health center nurses, maternity care nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, CBT therapists, and medical secretaries. The health center also has 5 general medical care beds. We are also a resource center for Sami health in Norrbotten. Our interdisciplinary collaboration focuses on continuity and close care.

With proximity to both mountains and forests, Jokkmokk municipality offers fantastic opportunities to explore nature, including the World Heritage Site Muddus and several national parks. Jokkmokk is a small and safe community with proximity to schools and various recreational activities, perfect for a balanced lifestyle.

We are looking for
We are looking for a licensed physician. It is an advantage if you have experience with the Cosmic medical record system and an interest in and experience with supervising resident doctors and students. Knowledge of English as well as knowledge of Sami language and culture are also advantageous.

We place great emphasis on your personal skills. We are looking for someone who is flexible and can adapt to changes, has a holistic view that considers both details and overarching goals. Furthermore, you have cultural awareness and respect for different cultures, as well as good teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with others.

What you will work with
As a resident doctor with us, you will work with a wide range of general medical tasks, including both acute and chronic illnesses. We are located approximately 10 kilometers from Gällivare Hospital and handle a variety of conditions. Your tasks will include outpatient work, both acute and planned, child health center, general medical observation places, work towards the municipality's home care, and nursing homes. You also have the opportunity to supervise students and resident doctors.

You will work as a resident doctor with the support of an experienced supervisor and in close collaboration with other professional categories at the clinic, both physically and digitally. We strive for a good work environment, and you will have your own list of approximately 500 patients. Additionally, you will be an important part of our development and change work towards good and close care.

Information about the position
We offer a permanent full-time position. The working hours are daytime.

Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
