Job Responsibilities

You will mainly work within the mission activities of the Swedish Forest Agency. Your main tasks will be to measure and stake out the boundaries of nature reserves for our clients. Other tasks within our operations may also be relevant.

The position involves working in the field with measurement and setting out using RTK-GPS in various locations throughout the year. Pre- and post-processing with GIS and map technology in the office is also part of your duties. The job includes maintaining a good dialogue with our customers and affected property owners.

We cover a large geography where digital meeting forms and training are important tools. Travel with overnight stays within and outside the district occurs.

Qualifications

It is advantageous if you have a forestry education as a basis or equivalent competence. Experience in practical measurement work with RTK-GPS, archive investigation of property boundaries, and familiarity with working with GIS/map technology are advantageous.

It is also advantageous to have experience working in forest terrain.

We attach great importance to your personal qualities. You should be flexible, have an easy time collaborating with others, be outgoing with a habit of working independently, and have a good sense of order. As the work is largely outdoors in forest terrain, you need to have good physical fitness and enjoy moving around in the forest and countryside throughout the year. You have no problem with solo work in the field. Overnight stays in another location will be necessary at times.

A driver's license for a car is a requirement. Snowmobile experience is advantageous.
