Temporary Reinforcement Needed for Field Work at the Swedish Forest Agency

We need temporary reinforcement during the summer and autumn to carry out field work.

Job Description

Your main tasks will include forest estimation and stamping for forest valuation, as well as marking of area protection (setting up poles and painting boundaries). Assisting with other tasks at the district may also be required. The work will be carried out both independently and together with others. Travel with overnight stays within the district may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in similar practical work who can work independently in the forest. Your personal qualities are of great importance. You should have the will and ability to take responsibility for tasks and work independently towards set goals in a structured manner. You need to be meticulous and able to work alone in the forest. You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You should have basic skills to work with IT programs (Word, Excel, Office) and the ability to use GIS/GPS in the field. Education focusing on forestry and nature or equivalent is advantageous but not required. We value relevant work experience and experience in similar tasks. A driver's license is required.

Conditions

1 position. Full-time employment. Temporary position from May 1 to October 31. Location: Storuman or Sorsele. Please specify your desired location in your application.
