Description

We are strengthening our expertise and looking for someone who wants to work at our authority for forestry issues.

Responsibilities

You will mainly work with supervision according to the Forestry Act and the Environmental Code. A large part of your work will involve processing notifications and applications related to forestry measures. The work is carried out both from the office and in the field.

You will also be involved in the district's other activities, which include, for example, advisory services, inventorying, area protection, and commissioned activities. The work involves contacts with forest owners, forestry companies, authorities, interest organizations, and the general public. We cover a large geography where digital meeting forms and training are important tools. Travel with overnight stays within the district occurs.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in forestry, biology with a forestry focus, or equivalent. Education, knowledge, and experience in nature value inventorying, as well as experience in authority work, are advantageous but not required. We value good IT/GIS skills.

Your personal qualities are of great importance. We are looking for a person with integrity who interacts with people with objectivity and respect. You are flexible, can collaborate with others, and have good administrative skills. You are responsible and thorough, completing your tasks independently towards set goals. You also need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

A driver's license for a car is a requirement. Snowmobile experience is advantageous.

Conditions

We offer permanent employment, and the position is full-time. Entry by agreement.

1 position stationed in Sorsele or Storuman and 1 position stationed in Sorsele, Storuman, or Lycksele. Please indicate your preferred location in your application. We apply a 6-month probationary period and individual salary setting.
