Position as Emergency Preparedness Officer
The County Administrative Board is the government's representative in the county and coordinates regional development efforts. We work with issues related to environmental and nature conservation, rural areas, urban planning, animal protection, preparedness, gender equality, integration, and cultural heritage. We actively work for the development of the county and coordinate various sectors of society. In our work, we uphold legal security, transparency, equal treatment, and good service. About the Position
The position of Emergency Preparedness Officer is located at the County Administrative Board's preparedness unit, which currently employs 21 people.
The preparedness unit collaborates with local, regional, and central actors to create a safe and secure society. The County Administrative Board must be prepared for and able to handle situations that arise before, during, and after a crisis or war. The County Administrative Board is the highest civilian total defense authority at the regional level.
Job Responsibilities
In the role of Emergency Preparedness Officer within the planning function, you will belong to a workgroup that primarily focuses on planning within civil defense and crisis preparedness issues. The area of work is broad, and the tasks will have both an internal and external focus.
Your responsibilities include supporting actors in their continued development of civil defense. In addition to this external focus, you will also work on the internal development regarding leading the county during crises and wars.
In addition to colleagues in the Preparedness Unit, the work offers a large network of contacts with expertise in other units within the County Administrative Board's own operations, combined with contacts in the county's municipalities, region, other County Administrative Boards, and central authorities. Other tasks may also occur.
Qualifications
You should have an academic education at the university or college level or other experience that we consider equivalent. We are looking for someone with several years of background and experience that has given you deep knowledge and understanding of total defense and preparedness issues. A B driver's license is required for this position.
It is advantageous if you have experience working on organizational development for operational management, including training, exercises, and drills. It is also advantageous if you have experience working in the public sector with corresponding issues.

As a person, you should be service-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently towards set goals. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions with others. Furthermore, you should be flexible, solution-oriented, and agile in your problem-solving approach, as well as open to new working methods. You are interested in learning from others and sharing your own knowledge, and you should be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing. We see good collaboration skills and contributing to a positive work environment as prerequisites.

The position is classified in a security class, and we conduct a security review with a background check according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act before the position is filled, and the requirement for the position is Swedish citizenship. The position will be part of the County Administrative Board's crisis management and war organization.
