Occupational Health Engineer at Björkdalsgruvan

We are looking for an Occupational Health Engineer to join our team at Björkdalsgruvan. In this role, you will be a key resource in driving and developing the company's occupational health work together with our HSE manager. You will have overall responsibility for all issues related to occupational health and safety, and will be a key person in creating a safe and secure working environment for our employees.

Responsibilities:

Regularly report to the HSE manager and provide specialist expertise in occupational health and safety.
Develop and implement induction programs for new employees as well as plan and organize training in occupational health.
Drive and develop preventive systematic safety and occupational health work, if necessary participate in safety rounds, risk analyzes, occupational health reporting, and safety meetings.
Be responsible for follow-up and investigations in our GRIA system (reporting system for risk observations, incidents, and accidents) together with the HSE department.
Lead and participate in risk assessments in occupational health, health, and safety.
Identify risks and drive improvement work to reduce risks and create a safer workplace.
Coordinate statutory measurements and investigations of the working environment to meet both internal and external requirements.
Be responsible for contact with authorities and be part of Gramko's working group for Technology in Sweden.
Perform and update procedures and descriptions related to occupational health and safety. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Björkdalsgruvan's own rules.
Participate in or lead projects in the field of occupational health.

Qualifications:

Occupational Health Engineering degree or other relevant education in occupational health, with extensive experience in occupational health work. Experience in mining operations is a merit. Good knowledge of systematic occupational health work. Good knowledge of the Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Swedish language proficiency. B driver's license is a requirement.
