About the Role

As a security guard, your primary task is to deliver safety to our customers. You do this, for example, in a monitoring center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have greater powers than a regular guard and often work closely with our customers' staff on objects that are crucial to Sweden's security.

The work is independent and often feels free, but comes with great responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, at night or during the day. The length of shifts varies, but they are often scheduled in 12-hour shifts. Since we are a business that operates every day of the year, weekend work is common.

You will, for example:

• Handle cases within your assignment area
• Ensure that no unauthorized persons have access to the objects
• Staff stationary objects as needed

Requirements

Requirements

• You need to be a trained security guard with valid approval or be a trained guard at least VU2
• Have professional experience from the security industry
• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• B driver's license

Meritorious if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have a civilian or military security guard training

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns compliance with the law, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities.
