Since the position is a summer temporary job, we wish that you are available for work between weeks 25-33. Securitas will assign you a schedule so you can plan your summer in good time with both work and fun activities!

Working as a guard is perfect for you who enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a guard at our office in Nyköping, you will become part of a close-knit team.

The length of shifts varies, but they are often 12-hour shifts either day or night. It is common to work every other weekend.

As a patrolling guard, your main task is to deliver safety to our customers – primarily at industries, offices, and workshops – by protecting property and buildings from fire, theft, and damage. Usually, you will manage the alarm systems and report using a computerized patrol information system. The work is independent and often feels free, but with a great responsibility. The working hours are mainly at night.

As a stationary guard, your main task is to deliver safety to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring that everything is in order. You often work at the entrance to a larger company, checking those who pass in and out, but you may also perform patrols and camera surveillance. The tasks vary from customer to customer. You work independently and under your own responsibility, often both day and night.

A typical day means that I work stationary, where I handle both reception services and respond to alarms. We also have other assignments in the area, such as traffic monitoring, guiding, and underground patrolling.”

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Driver's license B

Meritorious if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have a guard training
• have a security guard training
• have a parking training
• have a store inspector training
• have a civil or military security guard training

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized and can handle periods of high work pace. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you who are applying are an independent person and trust your own abilities, quickly understand problems and solve them creatively. You have a systematic and meticulous approach with an eye for detail. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

• The position primarily aims to replace our regular staff during June, July, and August. We apply a 6-month probationary period
• There is an opportunity to start the job earlier, and there is also a possibility of extension.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, you must have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security screening according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may, for example, come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
