Firefighter

Wanted for the Fire Service, Flen Municipality.

Flen is a picturesque municipality located in Södermanland County, centrally positioned in its heart. The municipality is characterized by a good balance between urban and rural environments, providing a wonderful living environment for both residents and workforce. The Fire Service in Flen is an important part of our municipality, where we work to create a safe and secure environment for all our residents. We are responsible for managing prevention, accidents, and other emergency events. Our team is dedicated, cohesive, and works closely together to meet all challenges that may arise. We are a flat organization where all staff have an important area of responsibility and are always involved in decision-making. You can develop in a way that is not common within the fire service. We are part of the management system Rescue Region East and have an in-depth collaboration with Rescue Region Eastern Svealand.

We are now looking for a full-time firefighter who wants to contribute to the continued development of our organization and make a difference in society.

Position: Full-Time Firefighter

Job Responsibilities:

As a firefighter in the fire service in Flen, you will work with preventive and emergency rescue operations in case of fire, accidents, rescue efforts, and other community functions. You will also participate in training, exercises, and contribute to the daily operations and preparedness in the municipality. You will have the opportunity to develop yourself both personally and professionally.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the position, we expect you to meet the following requirements:

• Firefighter training such as SMO training, GRIB training, or equivalent as assessed by the employer.
• Class C driver's license
• Passed treadmill test according to AFS
• Approved swimming certificate according to Guldbojen.
• A personality that thrives in our team and contributes to a positive work environment. We are looking for a team player who is responsible, engaged, and solution-oriented.

You are someone who can remain calm in stressful situations, act quickly and effectively in emergencies, and have a strong desire to help others. Duration/Working Hours

Full-time permanent position. The role involves shift work, but some daytime work may occur. A probationary period may apply, and start date is negotiable.

Monthly salary and individual base salary.
