The Swedish organization within the packaging division has approximately 800 employees across 11 different units with central functions based in Eslöv. In Gävle, we manufacture corrugated cardboard at our facility in Brynäs. We are a wonderful team of about 125 employees who are now looking for a new colleague.

Your Responsibilities

Do you have a strong technical interest and enjoy working with mechanics? Are you a problem solver who likes to think creatively when it comes to technical challenges? Then this could be your chance! Smurfit Westrock is now looking for a committed and solution-focused maintenance mechanic to join our team.

As a maintenance mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production runs smoothly and without interruptions. You will be responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as driving improvement initiatives. This means that you will regularly perform inspections and maintenance to prevent downtime, address technical issues as needed, and implement innovative solutions to optimize machine performance and lifespan.

The work is scheduled for permanent night shifts, from Sunday evening to Friday morning.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is passionate about mechanics and technology and has the ability to find creative solutions to technical problems. Your ability to think outside the box and effectively solve problems is central to succeeding in this role. You are also someone who wants to develop and learn new things, and you have a flexible attitude that allows you to thrive in a varied work environment. As a person, you are positive and have an easy time collaborating and communicating with your colleagues. To thrive in this role, it is important that you are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is also an advantage if you have good knowledge of English, although it is not a requirement.
