About Us
Stora Enso Fors is the sustainable mill with great innovative power. Here we manufacture cardboard that becomes renewable packaging. The raw material comes from the forest, and our technologically advanced production is completely fossil-free – something we are very proud of.
We are about 480 employees in a variety of professions, such as operators, technicians, mechanics, engineers, leaders, and laboratory technicians. Many of us collaborate with colleagues in other countries, which provides a dynamic and developing work environment. We believe that diversity makes us stronger and welcome applications from people with different backgrounds, ages, and experiences.
Sustainability is a natural part of our operations. We actively work to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future. As part of our community engagement, we support charities and sports clubs – for us, it is important to give back to society.
Stora Enso is a global company with 19,000 employees leading the transition to a more sustainable future. Our goal is clear: to create value for both people and the planet by replacing fossil-based materials with renewable alternatives. Our values, Lead the Way and Do the Right Thing, guide us in our work. We take responsibility for our actions and constantly strive to improve – in production, in society, and for future generations.
Stora Enso Fors is part of the Packaging Materials division, and the mill is located in Fors, just northeast of Avesta. Your Tasks
Do you want to help shape a nature-positive future and work for a leading global supplier of renewable solutions? Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We are now looking for a Reliability Technician who wants to contribute to the development of operations at Stora Enso Fors.
Shape a nature-positive future with us.
In this role, you will have a central position in our team, where you will work to monitor and improve the condition of our machines. You will work with measuring instruments, listen, analyze, and interpret measurement results from vibration measurement systems to detect deviations before they become larger issues. You will report deviations, provide assessments of machine status, and have important dialogues with production regarding risks, lifespan, and actions. Your contribution is directly crucial for our machines to last longer – and to create a more sustainable production.
In addition to daily maintenance, you will have the opportunity to participate in the commissioning of new equipment, projects, and improvement initiatives. You are also an important part of our safety work – we have a strong safety culture, and your contribution here is invaluable.
The position is a permanent employment at Stora Enso Fors AB. Working hours are during the day. Overtime may occur during planned maintenance stops, and there is also on-call duty and the possibility to become a shift reserve.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in the industry and who has preferably worked with similar tasks before. If you have SPM training (e.g., in shock pulse or vibration analysis), it is an advantage – we also offer opportunities for further education in the field.
The role requires good computer skills and the ability to work in a structured manner, as you will daily handle measurement data, documentation, and analysis tools. It is also advantageous if you have a forklift license, overhead crane certification, and fall protection training, but the most important thing is that you have the right attitude and a willingness to develop.
You will work closely with your colleagues in a team where collaboration, communication, and safety are keys to success. We believe that you are analytical, meticulous, and enjoy taking initiative and are not afraid to ask questions. The work sometimes involves working in tight or physically challenging environments.
A valid driver's license (B) is required, as well as good knowledge of Swedish and English.
With us, you will be part of our diversity-promoting work culture that helps you explore new perspectives and develop professionally. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to a more sustainable world, as we believe that everything made from fossil-based materials today can be made from a tree tomorrow. To keep you safe at work, we support your physical and mental well-being.
