Siemens is a leading supplier of power distribution equipment and within the Smart Infrastructure Electrification & Automation business area, we work with the most complete product portfolio on the market, including the low-voltage switchgear Sivacon S8, the medium-voltage switchgear NX Air, and our Siprotec relay protection. In our team, we lead projects of varying complexity, from smaller to larger product and system deliveries, and we currently have several exciting projects that we would like you to be a part of.

We are now looking for a dedicated service technician who wants to be part of our cohesive team. We prefer that you are located at one of our offices in Stockholm, Uppsala, Västerås, or Gävle, as approximately 50% of the work takes place in Gävle. The rest of the time, you will work at various locations around Sweden. The position involves travel about 2–4 days per week during the weeks we are not working in Gävle.

The Challenge

In the role of service technician, you will work with power service at Siemens customers, which include data centers, industries, and grid owners. You will work with preventive maintenance and urgent service cases on low and medium voltage switchgear as well as relay protection and control equipment. Our customers are located all over Sweden, which means that a significant amount of travel is included in the job.

You will primarily perform electromechanical work on both new and older oil-insulated, air-insulated, and gas-insulated switchgear as well as associated relay protection and control equipment.

Your work will include:

• Providing technical support to customers.
• Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on switchgear, circuit breakers, grounding switches, and disconnectors.
• Installation during upgrades and renovations of existing switchgear.
• Inspection before commissioning of switchgear, circuit breakers, grounding switches, and disconnectors.
• Troubleshooting, replacement, and configuration of relay protection.
