Safety Coordinator

In the role of safety coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating, supporting, and following up on the municipality's work with crisis preparedness according to the law (2006:544) regarding municipalities' and regions' measures in preparation for and during extraordinary events in peacetime and heightened readiness. The safety coordinator is expected to lead, guide, and develop the municipality's work with security protection according to the security protection law (2018:585).

Examples of tasks included in the position:

• Coordinate the municipality's work with crisis preparedness and civil defense
• Support the municipality's operations with knowledge about security and preparedness issues
• Drive the municipality's work with security protection
• Analyze and address risks and vulnerabilities
• Establish and be responsible for governing documents and plans in the area
• Train and exercise the municipality's crisis management organization
• Coordinate the municipality's work with crisis support to the public
• Collaborate with authorities, municipalities, and other actors
• Follow up and report on completed activities

As a safety coordinator in Hylte municipality, you will be placed at the Rescue Service, which is part of the municipal management office, and your immediate supervisor will be the rescue chief.

We are looking for someone with post-secondary or higher education, or someone who has otherwise acquired knowledge focused on crisis preparedness, civil defense, and security protection, or something that the employer considers equivalent.

Work experience from a municipality or another organization in the above areas is meritorious.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and outgoing, and you work in a structured and systematic manner. You have good problem-solving skills, are analytical, and can easily learn new things. You have a good ability to write formal texts in Swedish.

To succeed in the role, you need to be communicative and have a good ability to collaborate with others as well as work independently. You are pedagogical and have an interest in educating and sharing your knowledge in the field of security.

To be considered for the position of safety coordinator, you need to have Swedish citizenship.
