JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of Security Coordinator is broad, and in this position, you will play an important role in driving and coordinating the overall security work in the municipality and providing support to administrations and companies. You will primarily work at a strategic level, but in some cases also operationally. The assignment includes both planning and coordination as well as follow-up.

Your tasks mainly consist of:

• Leading and coordinating the municipality's work with internal protection, which includes security and safety in primarily the following areas: Physical protection with locks, alarms, access control systems, fire protection, surveillance including camera surveillance, and insurance matters.
• Leading and coordinating the municipality's work against threats and violence and supporting in threat and violence cases.
• Working on issues related to the municipality's security protection, including holding security talks.
• Participating in the unit's work to develop and enhance the organization's capacity in civil preparedness.
• Contributing to increased security awareness within the municipal group by guiding and educating in your areas of expertise.

In your role, you will be part of the municipality's crisis management organization. You will be an on-call officer and, in the long run, may also take on the role of chief of staff.

We want you to contribute to developing, renewing, and improving our joint work. You should also be able to support your colleagues when the need arises.

The position mainly consists of administrative tasks related to the aforementioned responsibilities but may also include other tasks within the security unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a university degree or a vocational education that the employer deems relevant. You also have relevant work experience in the security field. You should be well-versed in the regulations governing work in the security area and interested in community issues. Previous experience with similar tasks in internal protection, threats and violence, security protection, or crisis management is advantageous. We prefer that you have experience from the public sector.

You plan, drive, and complete processes. You have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas, adapt, and find direction in the work you lead.

In your role as Security Coordinator, you will have many internal and external contacts. Therefore, good communication and collaboration skills are of great importance.

A driving license (B) is a requirement.

The position is classified in a security class, and an approved security clearance is a prerequisite for the position.
