Workplace Description

Räddningstjänsten Väst is a municipal association whose task is to work for accident protection within the municipalities of Varberg and Falkenberg. Our mission is to be responsible for municipal fire services and preventive accident protection according to the Act on Protection Against Accidents (LSO).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a fire engineer with us, you contribute to positive community development. You will work as an administrator within a broad accident prevention area.

Your tasks will include conducting inspections according to the Act on Protection Against Accidents, supervision and permit processing for handling flammable and explosive goods, providing advice, and processing referrals to other authorities. In the inspection activities, as well as all governmental actions, we should be supportive and help people do the right thing. The inspections should be educational with guiding and knowledge-enhancing efforts.

Operational duties as a command officer may be included in the position. In connection with this, it may also be relevant to work with preparedness issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed education as a fire engineer or civil engineer in risk management, or other equivalent competence.
• The right engagement and attitude.
• Personal qualities that match what we are looking for in a fire engineer are highly valued.
• A flexible and solution-oriented approach.
• A driving license, at least category B.

We would also like you to have:

• Completed MSB's advanced training in fire service for fire engineers, RUB.
• Experience in municipal fire service.
• Experience from previous work as a fire engineer.

Location: Räddningstjänsten Väst, placement in Varberg with duties also in other parts of the association.
