Network Planner

Do you have experience with large-scale telecom projects and are you an expert in optical fiber and WDM networks? Would you like to work in a dynamic role where you are responsible for planning and coordinating the decommissioning of active and passive telecom infrastructure? ABOUT THE POSITION

In the role of Network Planner, you will work with network planning in Sweden and be responsible for planning and ordering work from contractors. You will coordinate efforts from different areas of expertise to decommission active and passive infrastructure from technical sites. In close collaboration with the project manager, project team, Network Operation Center, and customer responsible teams, you will ensure that the work is carried out according to plan.

This is a consulting assignment through us at Academic Work starting May 1st until December 21st, 2025, with the possibility of extension.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

• Plan and coordinate network-related decommissioning projects
• Order and follow up on contractor work
• Manage multiple complex sub-projects simultaneously and ensure that deliveries occur within the scope, time, and budget
• Document and structure work processes

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has good collaboration skills and a structured work style
• Has experience with large telecom network projects
• Possesses expert knowledge in optical fiber and WDM networks
• Has expert knowledge in IP networks, preferably also DSL networks
• Has experience in planning, reconstruction, and/or decommissioning of networks
• Experience in project management is an advantage
• Has an understanding of field technicians' work and needs
