About the role

In this role, you will work with the Swedish military command and control system for air surveillance and air combat management. The system is active around the clock and constantly monitors Swedish airspace. Your main task will be to develop and improve the frontend part in Java, but you will also get to dive into backend development. Primary development occurs in Ada and Java, but elements of other languages are included.

Your tasks will be varied and challenging, including further development and maintenance of the system, troubleshooting, and validation. You will be part of a close-knit team of 20 experienced and knowledgeable colleagues, providing you with a fantastic opportunity to grow and learn a lot.

Requirements for the position

• Minimum 3 years of experience in frontend or full-stack development in an object-oriented language (not web development)
• Bachelor's degree (3 years) in computer engineering
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Good skills in Java/C#
• Basic knowledge of working in Linux

The assignment is classified. Before employment, you are required to undergo a security clearance and be approved according to current security protection regulations.

Note: This entails a requirement for certain citizenship.

We consider it a merit if you have

• Master's degree in computer engineering
• Experience working in multiple programming languages/frameworks and the ability to quickly learn new ones
• Experience in security-critical software development
• Experience programming in Ada
• Interest or experience in the aviation domain and the military
