Assistant Nurse in the Staffing Unit
In the role of an assistant nurse in the Staffing Unit, we provide you with variety and a maximized opportunity to combine work with leisure.
With us, you will work in several different departments and clinics with great support in your development. You are a valued employee tasked with staffing during high demand or in connection with short-term absences. Many times, you are a much-needed resource when it gets tight in the departments. You will be gradually introduced and build your knowledge base at a comfortable pace together with us and the units.
About You
We are looking for someone who is an assistant nurse, takes responsibility, and has the patient as the primary focus. Perhaps you are coming directly from school and want to build a broad foundation. You are excited to be part of the entire hospital's operations and see the big picture. Or you may have more experience and are eager to develop, meet new patient groups, and be a valued colleague in several different teams. We are looking for someone who can easily adapt as needed, enjoys variety, and appreciates when workdays look different. We place great importance on personal suitability, and selection and appointment occur continuously during the application period.
Your Future Workplace
The Staffing Unit's mission is to cover short-term absences and be an asset during high workloads at Oskarshamn Hospital, as well as within primary care and psychiatric services in Oskarshamn and surrounding areas. Our team consists of assistant nurses, nurses, medical secretaries, and staffing coordinators. As an employee in the Staffing Unit, you create your own schedule and are booked in departments and clinics based on current needs, usually with two weeks' notice. We have our own agreement that provides you with so-called annual working hours, and no additional pay for shift work or overtime is provided. Organizationally, we belong to the specialist unit, with a physical workplace and shared facilities on the ground floor opposite the pharmacy. Oskarshamn Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County and has over 400 employees. The hospital is small with quick decision-making paths and close contacts between units. Here you will find emergency care, medical specialist care, radiology, planned surgery, and orthopedics. The hospital is located near Oskarshamn's center and close to the archipelago.
Region Kalmar County is responsible for healthcare, dental care, folk high schools, culture, public transport, and regional development.
