Högdalen care and nursing home is a municipal elderly care facility with 135 apartments, divided into 66 somatic and 50 dementia places as well as 16 short-term places and 3 respite care places.

As a nurse with us

As a nurse in special housing for the elderly, you are an important part of our work to actively contribute to ensuring that residents feel safe, seen, involved, appreciated, and important. We base our work on a salutogenic approach focusing on creating a sense of coherence for both residents and employees.

Your assignment as a nurse

As a nurse, you are an important part of our interdisciplinary team and contribute with your specialist competence to ensure that our elderly receive person-centered care. Your tasks include the usual duties of a nurse in a care and nursing home such as medical assessments, contact with the doctor, contact with relatives as needed, and planning and implementation of interventions based on individual needs. Training and supervising staff in nursing work as well as following up and evaluating completed interventions are part of the assignment.

Together and in close collaboration with others in the team (nursing assistants, care assistants, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and doctor), you plan and develop the care. You ensure that residents receive the treatment prescribed by the doctor up to the level of the nurse.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed nurse.
• Has several years of experience in the profession.
• Has experience working with the elderly.
• You speak and write Swedish fluently, which is important in communication with residents, documentation, and collaboration with colleagues and external contacts.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Supervisor training.
• Experience with the documentation system Vodok 2.0/ICF.
• Experience working with quality registers in elderly care.

You are good at building, developing, and maintaining a good collaboration with your surroundings by having an open, accommodating, and problem-solving attitude. We are looking for someone who has a commitment that is reflected in their work and spreads to others. As a nurse, you are expected to be self-sufficient and independently structure, prioritize, drive, and take responsibility for your tasks.

Daytime work with currently every 6th weekend. A probationary period may be applied.
