Family Therapist at Trampolinen
Do you want meaningful work that makes a difference in people's lives? Welcome to the municipality that is far from average!
Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts of Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 inhabitants and over 6,400 employees.
The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for authority exercise, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and their relatives. The Social Administration has a special responsibility for children, young people, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are about 500 employees who provide support to the residents of Botkyrka in an equitable, fair, and safe manner using strength-based approaches.
The Position and Responsibilities
Trampolinen is a service that offers special education and treatment to children in need of special support.
With the child in focus, we offer education, family therapy, and social skills training both individually and in groups. At Trampolinen, students in grades 1 to 9 attend, and as a family therapist, you will work with elementary, middle, and high school students. Each class has 3-5 students.
The family therapy is conducted on behalf of the investigation units within the Social Administration. The focus of the work is to offer children and parents various treatment interventions based on the family's needs from a salutogenic and systemic perspective. Each student has their own implementation plan that we work from, and the intervention is evaluated based on set goals. Within the Social Administration, we work with Signs Of Safety and MI.
As a Family Therapist, you will:
- Work therapeutically throughout the school day, where you are one of the safe adults the student meets.
- Be involved in the milieu therapeutic work with the students together with other professional categories.
- Be responsible for providing family therapy based on set treatment goals.
- Have daily contact with guardians.
- Plan and call for collaboration meetings.
- Together with other family therapists and educators, be responsible for driving family work forward.
- Document in the Lifecare journal system.
We work cross-professionally in teams consisting of family therapists, teachers, and teaching assistants, led by our unit manager/deputy principal. The operation is a close collaboration between the education administration and the social administration. You as a family therapist with us are employed by the social administration.
We Offer You
You will be welcomed by a workgroup of eight colleagues and a unit manager, divided into three workgroups. We start each workday together with a short meeting before the students' school day begins. When the students have gone home, we have a meeting to summarize the day and make a plan for the next day. We have ongoing meetings aimed at developing routines and strategies to succeed in our mission.
We constantly want to develop and find new tools and methods in our therapeutic work and encourage both environmental monitoring and professional development for our employees. As a group, we have supervision from an external supervisor once a month and participate in a network for special education groups within the municipality about three times per term. As an employee within the social administration, you will participate in training for Signs Of Safety and MI.
You Who Are Applying to Us
We see that you are a social worker or have another equivalent university education and that you have previous experience in family therapy. You have prior experience working with children in need of special support. You express yourself well in both speech and writing.
Meritorious for this position is:
- Previous work in a school environment.
- Knowledge and/or education in NPF.
- Experience in meeting children with norm-breaking behavior.
- Experience working with families in crisis.
- Experience in method development.
- Good documentation skills.
As a person, you are collaborative and place great importance on working with your team, parents, and other internal or external parties. You understand the importance of structure and routines in daily work while knowing that not everything can be planned and act flexibly when the moment requires. You are a secure person and a good role model even in challenging situations. You easily build good relationships with children and adults without losing your professionalism.
We are conducting interviews on an ongoing basis - welcome with your application!
