About You

On behalf of our client in Örkelljunga/Eket, we are looking for a mature personal assistant who is attentive to our client's needs and wishes.

We are now seeking a person who wishes to work one day/month and extra during illness or leave. The work primarily consists of day shifts (with on-call duty), but split shifts may also occur.

It is important for us that you connect with the client you will be working with and that you are responsive to the client’s needs and wishes. You should be empathetic and respect the client’s integrity. You have a good sense of humor and are prepared to make independent decisions. You are responsible and easy to collaborate with. You have the ability to take a step back when needed. You are good at motivating others and enjoy challenges in your work.

The client is a young woman in her 20s with an intellectual disability. She leads an active life and is very interested in music and engaging in fun activities such as swimming, shopping, and concerts. The client’s disability means that she requires constant supervision and motivation in daily activities. The workgroup employs a low-arousal approach.

The client communicates non-verbally through body language and partially with visual aids.

You can work days, evenings, and weekends. Personal assistance is provided throughout all hours of the day. Experience in personal assistance is an advantage. You will become part of a team that works together with and for the client.

Your Responsibilities

Tasks relevant to the profession. This can range from individualized care to household chores. Assistance is primarily provided in the client’s home but also involves accompanying the client on activities outside the home. You will work in a supportive and motivating manner. Training will be provided on-site and through Monument Assistans.
