About the Position

We are looking for an experienced operations manager with great commitment, responsibility, and interest in water and sewage issues.

As an operations manager, you will have a varied job within the operation and maintenance of Kävlinge Municipality's water and sewage facilities.

The water and sewage unit consists, in addition to this role, of water engineers, process engineers, and operation technicians. Currently, the work is divided into two areas: one for the pipeline network and one for the wastewater treatment plant. The operations manager reports to the water and sewage manager within the Community Building sector.

You will have colleagues with high competence and experience who are keen to help each other. You will also be given a lot of responsibility and the opportunity to influence both the work and your development in the role.

Job Responsibilities

The position involves coordinating, planning, and following up on daily operations, as well as having long-term planning for an optimized operation within the pipeline network.

As an operations manager at Kävlinge Municipality, you will work both operationally in daily operations, business planning, and administrative tasks such as preparing work environment plans, traffic plans, and handling deviations and operational disturbances.

Your tasks will also include coordinating work and readiness for the group belonging to the pipeline network; we see that good collaboration and exchange between groups is important for a safe and long-term operation.

Qualifications

You should have a technical university education, preferably with a focus on road and water, construction and civil engineering, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Alternatively, you have many years of documented practical experience in the described tasks within municipal water and sewage operations and/or from consulting/contractor activities.
You should have several years of work experience in a coordinating role, such as a leader, project manager, or team leader, and be well acquainted with common excavation and pipeline work within the water and sewage area.
Communicates fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and has basic English skills.
Driver's license with category B.
The unit procures several services, which makes experience in procurement and contracts an advantage.
