Do you have a teaching license with the qualification to teach students at a basic level in Swedish as a second language or English? Do you want to teach adults and contribute to their mastery of the Swedish language or help them build a future in other ways? Then you might be the person we are looking for at the Education and Job Center!

At the Education and Job Center in Boländerna, approximately 130 employees work from the administration, and more than 2000 adult students receive their education here every day.

We offer:

• Basic and upper secondary adult education
• Social studies (SO)
• Care and nursing education
• Child and leisure education
• Culinary education
• Gardening education
• Bicycle technician education
• Adult education as adapted education for adults.

We offer temporary positions with the possibility of extension; even if you wish to work part-time or only with an evening course, your application is of interest.

Your mission

This position includes planning, implementation, assessment, and grading of courses in accordance with your qualifications.

Teaching takes place during the day as well as in the evening. You are a skilled educator who wants to challenge yourself in a collegial collaboration to continuously develop your pedagogical skills. You work with the student in focus and can adapt the teaching according to the students' needs and progression.

Your background

We are looking for someone with a teaching license qualified to teach students at a basic level or higher in Swedish as a second language or English. We also prefer that you are qualified to teach mathematics, social studies, or religious studies.

Many of the courses are conducted as distance education via computer, so you need to be willing to work with a digital setup and preferably have experience with distance education or have worked with digital teaching methods in other ways. You need to have knowledge of digital working methods in schools and experience teaching at the basic or upper secondary level. If you also have training in pedagogy/didactics with a focus on digital working methods, that is an advantage. It is beneficial to have experience working with students at different levels since the teaching assignments at the Education and Job Center may change over time.

As a person, you are pedagogical and understand people's different conditions for acquiring knowledge. You are flexible and have the ability to see opportunities in changes. Additionally, you have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
