Description

The Anesthesia/Operation and ICU/Postoperative area within SkaS has hospital units in Lidköping, Skövde, and Falköping.

Approximately 400 employees work in the department. All units collaborate closely, both within the locations and across the entire SkaS. Our common goal is to focus on the patient. We work process-oriented and continuously with organizational development according to SkaS guidelines.

In Skövde, elective surgery is performed daily for both inpatient and outpatient surgical patients at the anesthesia/operation unit. There is also a comprehensive emergency surgical operation. The operation runs around the clock every day of the year.

Responsibilities

As an operating room nurse, you will work in a team with anesthesia nurses, nursing assistants, anesthesiologists, surgeons, and in close collaboration with the sterile processing unit. Through the high level of competence among the staff, medically, nursing-wise, and technically, we provide the best possible care for the patient.

As an operating room nurse at Skaraborg Hospital, there may be opportunities for rotation between locations. Please describe in your application if rotation is something that interests you!

Qualifications

We are looking for licensed nurses with specialist training in surgery. You should have good collaboration skills, be flexible, eager to develop, and be able to work both independently and in a team. Personal suitability is highly valued.
