Since the introduction of the first electric forklift in 1980, Kalmar has been a pioneer in the industry. Kalmar launched a fully electric portfolio in 2021 consisting of material handling equipment from electric reachstackers to heavy, medium, and light forklifts, terminal tractors, and straddle carriers. In this role, you will primarily work at Kalmar Solutions' customer site in Torshälla. Work at customers in the nearby geography may occur as needed.
Job responsibilities
As a service technician, you will work with service, repairs, and preventive maintenance of diesel and electric forklifts as well as other machines within Kalmar Solutions' product range. Your work includes both planned interventions and urgent measures, making the role both varied and developing. The tasks include troubleshooting, repairs, and work with hydraulics, electronics, and mechanics. The work is planned and structured in collaboration with a service coordinator, with whom you will have ongoing contact.
For documentation, reporting, and internal communication, digital tools are used. You will have continuous contact with customers, service coordinators, and colleagues. Since you are the face of Kalmar Solutions, good service and clear feedback to customers are an important part of your work.
This position is suitable for you who want to work independently in a dynamic and technical environment while contributing to the team's common goals.
Education, experience, and personal qualities
- Completed upper secondary education, preferably with automotive technical training
- Electrical knowledge is a requirement. Knowledge and experience in mechanics, electronics, and hydraulics are meritorious
- Good computer and system skills
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English
- Driving license B
