JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Stockholm Vatten och Avfall delivers drinking water and manages wastewater for 1.5 million customers, around the clock, all year round. To ensure this, the unit Network Technology works with the operation and maintenance of approximately 1000 pumping stations, water reservoirs, and pressure boosting stations. The unit consists of 45 employees divided into five groups: Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Electrical & Automation, Operations and Planning, and Strategy and Follow-up.

We have high demands for delivery reliability and drinking water quality, which places equally high demands on well-functioning maintenance and optimal operation of our facilities. As a maintenance technician, you play a key role in ensuring that our facilities and associated properties function as they should, both today and in the future.

In your role, you will work both operationally and developmentally. You will perform maintenance work and renovations to prevent and remedy problems while identifying improvement opportunities to develop both the facilities and the operations. To succeed in the role, you also need to have a deep understanding of the facilities' operation and function, which will help you find the most effective solutions.

The position is a permanent employment based in Högdalen.

Your main responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on technical equipment and properties.
• Carry out renovations and repairs to ensure operational reliability.
• Continuously work on improvement proposals to develop the functionality and efficiency of the facilities.
• Ensure and contribute to optimal operation of the facilities by understanding their function in detail.

With your technical knowledge and problem-solving ability, you work to ensure a stable and safe delivery of drinking water of the highest quality while contributing to effective solutions for wastewater management.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role of maintenance technician with us, you need to have a genuine interest in water and wastewater technology. You have a strong safety mindset, are unpretentious with your knowledge, and have a humble attitude where you see opportunities in change. You also have the ability to collaborate with your colleagues in the unit to succeed in the task.

What we are looking for in you:

• Several years of experience in maintenance work within water and wastewater/industry
• B driver's license
• Good computer skills
• Experience working in maintenance systems

Education or work experience deemed equivalent within water and wastewater as an operator and/or maintenance technician, as well as a C driver's license, is an advantage.

In your position, you will work with classified safety information. A security clearance and background check will therefore be conducted in connection with employment.
