The administration also works to acquire and manage housing for households that have difficulty arranging their own housing, while actively working to end homelessness in Gothenburg by 2028.

The Gothenburg canal walls are to be renovated, and as a sub-program leader, you will be part of the program management and lead one of the program's sub-groups with several projects. As a sub-program leader, you report to the project owner in leading, directing, coordinating, following up, and guiding the underlying projects. The sub-program leader is responsible for project planning as well as monitoring timelines and coordinating work between project owners, project managers, consultants, and contractors. The canal wall program is in an early planning stage, and the ambition is to create a team where we help and support each other to deliver according to expected results.

As a sub-program leader, you will be involved in all aspects of the projects, from design to implementation, budget, and follow-up. You will collaborate with colleagues as well as consultants and contractors, depending on the stage. As a sub-program leader, you will gain a broad and comprehensive understanding of what is required to implement such a complex reinvestment program as the Canal Wall Program.

• Independently carry out and drive assignments in the program.
• Coordinate consultants and contractors in a collaborative contract.
• Coordination regarding issues such as contracts, timelines, cultural heritage, traffic, communication, and utilities.
• Participate in design and construction meetings in a collaborative contract.
• Help design various technical solutions based on site-specific conditions.
• Work in our project tool Antura with functions, reports, structuring, and maintenance for the sub-group.
• Follow up and analyze the sub-group's project plans, timelines, and costs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with:

• A university degree in civil engineering, urban planning, or equivalent relevant competence acquired in another way with more than ten years of relevant work experience, of which at least five years of experience in projects or programs of large scope, complexity, budget, and responsibility.
• Relevant work experience from the urban planning/development industry with a focus on land and construction and experience acting at a strategic level and towards management groups.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Ability to express yourself fluently in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
• Knowledge of contract law and the AMA system.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• A good understanding of and experience working within the public sector and an understanding of the regulations that exist within the municipal and state sectors.
• Experience in driving projects in larger organizations.
• Knowledge of the project tool Antura.

The role of sub-program leader requires you to be structured and meticulous, enjoy collaborating, and have the ability to take your own initiative. You should be able to take responsibility for your tasks and be committed to completing what you have started. Given the high complexity and the number of partners involved, you need to be communicative in both speech and writing.
