Aftermarket Project Manager

Västfastigheter Bygg och Förvaltning conducts new construction and renovation of the facilities of the Västra Götaland Region.

We participate in feasibility studies for projects and are responsible for program and system documentation, design, and implementation. Our clients are primarily in the healthcare sector, but also in the cultural sector, at folk high schools, agricultural high schools, as well as travel centers, bus and train depots throughout the Västra Götaland Region.

Job Description

As an Aftermarket Project Manager in the Regional Management unit, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the area's work with warranties during the warranty period of construction projects. You will act as an internal consultant to the organization's managers and project leaders in handling warranty issues and are responsible for conducting warranty inspections. You will also manage more complex warranty issues with the responsible contractors.

In this role, you will follow up and analyze the organization's warranty management at a high level and be proactive in developing methods and tools to ensure the quality of warranty management. Another important part of your assignment is to be responsible for systematic feedback where you report back to relevant functions in our organization for any changes in routines and technical requirements, so we can learn from our experiences and continuously strive to build better and more efficiently.

You will work from our activity-based office at Regionens hus in Gothenburg. Travel is included in the position, and where possible, we prefer to use public transport when traveling.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained civil or construction engineer with a focus on building technology or other education and experience deemed equivalent. You have good knowledge of contract law and experience in project management and contractual legal issues, preferably with a focus on aftermarket/warranty issues. We also see that you have negotiation experience.

You have a systematic approach with a good ability to make decisions and act on them.

You communicate well in Swedish, both spoken and written, and you are comfortable handling challenging cases and coordinating quality-assured solutions from both customer and management perspectives in a structured manner. A good understanding of technical and economic relationships is important for success in this role.
