The Laröd Healthcare Center is a stable, well-functioning, and expanding unit with over 6,800 listed patients and 300 listed children at the associated child health center (BVC). We operate a branch in the local area where we offer drop-in services to doctors and nurses, as well as a clinic focused on health promotion, prevention, and early interventions.

About 35 dedicated employees work in interdisciplinary teams with us to provide the best possible care to our patients. The team consists of specialist doctors, training doctors, district nurses, nurses with specialist competence, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and medical secretaries. We offer child health center (BVC), medical consultations, district nurse consultations, specialist nurse consultations for allergy-asthma-COPD, diabetes, infections, lifestyle habits, vaccinations, memory clinics, and geriatric care clinics. We also have consultations for occupational therapists, dietitians, physiotherapists, and psychologists.

Additionally, we are proud to be an academic healthcare center (AVC), which means research assignments from the Center for Primary Care Research (CPF), by building bridges between the academic world and primary care. We participate in several research studies in areas such as lifestyle habits, mental health/illness, and hypertension.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome a specialist nurse with a focus on elderly care or a district nurse who wants to be responsible for our Geriatric Clinic.

We offer you the opportunity to develop our Geriatric Clinic based on the unique professional area of the district nurse/specialist nurse. With us, you can utilize your subject knowledge in nursing, medical science, public health science, and healthcare pedagogy. The work is carried out in close collaboration with experienced colleagues who, in addition to their work at the healthcare center, also have assignments as wound consultants and research academic healthcare coordinators. The position also includes various tasks at the healthcare center such as district nurse consultations, telephone counseling, triage, and digital consultations. Continuity and person-centered care are important for both us and our patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare and have further education as a specialist nurse with a focus on elderly care or a district nurse. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale are required. It is an advantage if you have experience working in primary care.

You as a person are development-oriented, driven, and have an easy time collaborating. Furthermore, you have a good ability to work independently. Personal suitability is of great importance.
