About the Company

Guldstadens Women’s Shelter is a non-profit organization working for an equal society free from violence. Our primary goal is to support women and children who are exposed to violence, threats, and abuse. Through our shelter work, we strive to empower and support girls and women in society, both through direct support initiatives and preventive work against violence. We operate a protected accommodation for women and their children who have experienced violence.

Your Responsibilities

As a support worker with us, you will play a central role in providing support and advice to the women and children seeking help from the shelter. Your main responsibilities include:

• Providing support and advice during personal meetings and via phone.
• Assisting with practical matters and coordinating contacts with various authorities.
• Supporting in meetings with the police, social services, and during potential court cases.
• Working to ensure that those seeking support through the shelter receive the safety and help they need.

Your Background/Your Qualities

We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or another post-secondary education focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or equivalent experience. As a person, you are empathetic and attentive, with the ability to meet those affected by violence seeking support. You are a reliable person capable of handling sensitive situations with a professional approach and high discretion, as well as having a good ability to work independently and in a team.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Desirable:

• Previous experience working in social work supported by SoL.
• Previous experience working with children.
• Previous experience working with journal systems.

Information and Contact

Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 19:00, and on-call work may occur. Guldstadens Women’s Shelter has a collective agreement, and compensation is provided according to the agreement. To work at Guldstadens Women’s Shelter, a criminal record check is required before employment. Guldstadens Women’s Shelter collaborates with Wikan Personal for this position, but you will be employed directly by Guldstadens Women’s Shelter. The positions are full-time with a start date as soon as possible upon agreement.
