Support Assistants Wanted for Hissjövägen at Haga

The Disability Care Services in Umeå municipality aims to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through closeness and interaction.

Welcome to Hissjövägen at Haga, a service residence for users with intellectual disabilities. Here, 8 users live who need support in their daily lives.

We are now looking for two support assistants to join our team!

Your Responsibilities

You will guide and support individuals with intellectual and mental disabilities in their daily lives. You provide individual, social, and practical support to enable and utilize the individuals' own abilities, thereby creating conditions for independence.

You work to make individuals active participants in their daily lives and have a meaningful leisure time and/or occupation. Common tasks include supporting users with approved services such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, personal care/hygiene, medication, and social activities.

The work also includes record-keeping, documentation in Treserva, and working goal-oriented with individual implementation plans to increase goal fulfillment.

Working hours are scheduled for days/evenings, weekends, and on-call combinations. Coordination may occur between our operations.

About You

You have a genuine interest in disability care and your working style is characterized by flexibility, continuity, and security. We are looking for someone who has a good ability to create and maintain structure and who wants to be involved in developing the operations. You are engaged and have a desire to share our values and work towards set goals as well as work on continuous improvements.

To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Trained nursing assistant, social worker, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience in working within disability care

Meritorious:

• Experience working with intellectual disabilities
