Maintenance Technician at Parker Hannifin in Trollhättan

About the Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for working on continuous improvements in the functionality and reliability of production equipment. The main types of machines include CNC-controlled multi-operation machines, assembly equipment, industrial robots, and testing equipment. The position involves work in both electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic areas.

Responsibilities as a Maintenance Technician:

  • Preventive machine maintenance
  • Troubleshooting when there is a malfunction or lack of function, as well as troubleshooting in PLC control systems
  • Repairs of production equipment
  • Calculation of repair costs and ordering of spare parts
  • Estimation of repair time
  • Collaboration with machine suppliers' support and technicians
  • Documentation and administration of work in the maintenance system
  • Participation in the team's development of processes and improvement work

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of a skilled team of ten colleagues. You work independently but support each other and exchange knowledge and experiences. In your role, you will collaborate closely with production leaders and machine operators. You report to the Production Support Manager.

The work is shift-based, with night shifts – both day and weekend shifts may occur. Staffing is based on need.

About You

To thrive and succeed in the role of Maintenance Technician at Parker, we believe you have a passionate interest in technology and a relevant education in technology and automated processes, or two to three years of relevant work experience. Requirements:

  • Technical high school and/or technical post-secondary education
  • Basic competence in electrical and mechanical systems
  • Good computer skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in teams and manage relationships
  • Well-organized and structured
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

  • Experience with CNC machines
  • Experience working with PLC control systems
  • Experience in Hydraulics and Pneumatics
