Resource Teacher/Student Assistant at Smedskolan in Pajala

We are looking for a resource teacher/student assistant at Smedskolan in Pajala. The position will be filled provided that the necessary decisions are made. Start date according to agreement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide individual support to students in their daily school activities. The support may be pedagogical, physical, psychological, social, and emotional in nature.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to adapt teaching according to students' needs.
• Communicate and collaborate with guardians regarding the student's school situation and interests.
• Create and maintain a safe and structured environment for the students.
• Participate in planning and implementing activities that promote students' social and emotional development.
• Document and follow up on students' progress and needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with children and adolescents with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF) is required.
• Education in pedagogy, special education, or similar is advantageous.
• Good ability to collaborate and communicate with both students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Patience, attentiveness, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Personal suitability is very important.

A high school diploma is required. The person offered the position must provide an extract from the register maintained under the law (1998:620) on criminal records, with requirements in the Education Act (2010:800).
