At the Animal Care Center in Sexdrega, we currently have specialists, experienced senior veterinarians, skilled intermediate colleagues, and incredibly ambitious junior colleagues! We are now looking for our 9th veterinary colleague and the missing piece of the puzzle!

The Animal Care Center in Sexdrega is in a strong development and expansion phase, having recently transitioned from primarily an advanced small animal practice to a round-the-clock operation for all species. We are not limiting our operations; we are expanding them! We will continue with both emergency abdominal surgeries and TPLOs on small animals, even though some of your future colleagues are now also treating horses and farm animals, as well as the occasional reptile. We believe you need to be a bit adventurous as we have a fast pace of development, it could suddenly be a goat in the reception, and you should find it exciting when different things happen, with no day being quite like the other. The practice has recently recruited many skilled and ambitious general practitioners, but now we need you to be more specialized in small animals so we can continue to develop our small animal practice in both Sexdrega and at our sister clinic in Ulricehamn.

All operations here are conducted according to a schedule where individual adjustments are both possible and desirable so that everyone thrives and work can be combined with all other important aspects of life. We want you to have a life outside of work, to sometimes arrive a bit late because your child did something important, or to take time off to travel to a distant place to see something you are interested in. Life should be lived, and we want to be a part of it!

The operational development on-site is currently managed by an experienced veterinarian (manager) in the industry, along with highly engaged owners and all employees in the practice. A local collective agreement exists with regulated working hours for work during inconvenient hours and good staffing of both veterinary colleagues and nurses at a well-equipped and well-functioning clinic. We provide veterinary care around the clock, year-round for all species, with great opportunities for more advanced care when we collaborate. Some work during inconvenient hours within your species specialization is included in the position.

We believe that to thrive in this position, you are:

A licensed veterinarian with several years of experience in the profession, especially in small animal care. Special competence in small animal dentistry and/or specialization in internal medicine is highly meritorious.

Strongly engaged in competence and operational development, contributing to your own and the clinic's development as well as your colleagues' and gladly taking on a mentoring role for younger colleagues in your areas of expertise. We believe you are interested in a particular area within veterinary medicine that you would like to develop further. If so, we would love to hear more about it as we believe that all development benefits our practice.

A person who enjoys working together with colleagues where the right person does the right things, making it efficient.

Swedish veterinary license and a B driver's license are required for employment.

Specialization in internal medicine and/or special competence in small animal dentistry is highly meritorious.
