TURAB, Turbine & Regulator Service AB has been manufacturing, maintaining, and renovating water turbines since its inception in 1965. Through a combination of extensive experience and strong customer focus, we carry out projects primarily in Sweden but also abroad.

Thanks to its technical expertise, in-house manufacturing, and traveling technicians at the disposal of its customers, TURAB is a leading comprehensive supplier to the Swedish small-scale hydropower industry.

TURAB is owned by IDUN Industrier, which has a lifelong ownership perspective. The company is located in Nässjö and has just over 25 employees.

About the position

TURAB needs to strengthen its service department and is now looking for employees who want to contribute to continued success in an industry with a strong focus on environment and sustainability. This position is a recruitment through Montico HR Partner, where Turab aims to offer employment after a period of hiring. The position includes approximately 170 travel days with hotel overnight stays. You will travel in a modern specially equipped service vehicle. The weeks you are traveling, your workweek is typically Monday to Thursday, starting and ending at the workshop in Nässjö. Some months of the year are allocated at the industry in Nässjö.

Job Description

As a service technician, you play an important role in ensuring that our customers' facilities are in good condition. The work is varied, and no day is the same, which involves everything from simple troubleshooting to more advanced heavy work.

  • You perform ongoing service and maintenance on customers' facilities to maintain reliable electricity production.
  • You carry out repairs and troubleshooting, conduct test runs, and modifications of small-scale water turbines.
  • You perform installations and issue permit checks.
  • You inspect machines, replace and/or update worn-out components.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a strong interest in technical and mechanical constructions.
  • Is communicative and appreciates contact with customers and colleagues.
  • Is meticulous and solution-oriented.
  • Has good computer skills and handles the Office suite.
  • Is quick to learn new things and adapt to new environments, situations, and circumstances.

Experience with rotating machinery, hydraulics, and arc welding is highly meritorious.
