The Role of Night Nurse

As a nurse with us, you will work with the care of our patients. Common tasks include end-of-life care, emergency interventions, and handling technical equipment. Our patients have pulmonary medical diagnoses, including lung cancer, COPD, and endocrinological conditions. Your work is independent, and you will have the opportunity to use your skills and experience to meet the needs of the patients. Night shifts mean that you start your workday with us at 21:00 and finish at 07:00 the next day.

Your Future Workplace

The Medical Care Unit C at the Medical Clinic at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping consists of 14 care places, divided between pulmonary medicine and endocrinology. Endocrinology includes conditions such as diabetes, thyroid, and pituitary diseases. Here you have the opportunity to follow patients with newly diagnosed diabetes. In cases of suspected disease in the pituitary and thyroid, investigations are initiated with various hormone challenges performed by the nurse in the unit. Pulmonary medicine cares for patients with advanced lung diseases. Most patients are severely ill and come in acutely via the emergency department, day care, or outpatient clinic. Common diagnoses include lung cancer and COPD, and patients on ventilators are also cared for here. The unit provides both acute care and palliative care.

Your Profile

We prefer that you have prior experience working on a care ward, and as a person, you are secure and stable, working methodically and structured. A willingness to help each other is important, so we place great emphasis on qualities such as good collaboration skills and personal suitability. Those who work at night play a vital role, and we offer you a salary supplement of 6,000 SEK based on full-time work.

We offer a permanent position, night shift with a scope of 68.63%, which corresponds to 34 hours/week. Start date is as soon as possible or as agreed.
