At the Swedish Work Environment Authority, we work together to ensure that no one becomes ill, injured, or dies due to work. Therefore, we monitor compliance with regulations and coordinate efforts against fraud, violations, and crime in the workplace. Based on the Work Environment Act, we develop regulations, inspect workplaces, and disseminate knowledge about work environment issues. Our mission is serious, but our everyday life is characterized by joy at work, and we are caring and helpful colleagues. Would you like to use your commitment, courage, and expertise to make a difference in our life-critical issues? Then we are curious to learn more about you.

Your new job

As a work environment inspector within the joint authority control, you will inspect the work environment at various workplaces. In a large portion of the cases, you will make your own decisions based on delegation. Documentation such as service notes, inspection reports, grounds for sanctions, and other decisions are part of the role. The focus of inspections varies over time based on risk analyses and priorities. The state value base permeates your work.

  • You have held a supervisory or coordinating role, for example as site manager, foreman, Bas P/U, or in the role of work environment engineer.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Worked in a role with tasks in the work environment area.
  • Collaborated with other authorities in a joint mission over time.

As a person, we see that you will thrive and succeed in the role if you are flexible, see opportunities in changes, and have the ability to handle unexpected events. Your communication is clear, open, and direct even in difficult matters. You are solution-oriented, structured, and have a good ability to plan. Furthermore, you find it easy to develop new relationships and are comfortable in social situations. You collaborate well, are attentive, and are happy to share information and knowledge with others.
