As a support assistant with us, you will have a varied job that involves many contact areas. Together with your colleagues, you work to make life meaningful and rich for the people we are here for. You work from a holistic perspective, supporting residents in creating the highest possible quality of life and independence. The goal is for residents to be able to create their own home and live life on their own terms based on their own conditions. The day should be understandable, manageable, and meaningful for the individual, where structure, clarity, and security are cornerstones. For us, respect for people's self-determination and integrity is the foundation of our work.

The LSS 4 unit includes two group homes and one service residence. These residences are governed by the Act on Special Support and Service according to LSS and are located within Lidköping municipality. The individuals living in our residences have various disabilities such as ADHD/Autism and intellectual disabilities.

The position is a permanent employment at Norra Härenes group home. As an employee with us, work can occur in more than one residence as we guarantee all employees full-time.

Working hours are adapted to the needs of the residents. This means that you should be able to work days, evenings, sleeping on-call, and every other weekend.

Job responsibilities

As a support assistant, you provide care and social services based on the individual needs and wishes of the residents. This may include supporting residents in care as well as with social and physical activities. In your work, you also support with health and medical care and rehabilitative measures as prescribed by a nurse, physiotherapist, and/or occupational therapist. You will have close collaboration with the support pedagogue in the unit.

Being a contact person is part of your work, which means you have special responsibility for one or more individuals. Your work also includes continuous documentation and responsibility for establishing, following up, and revising implementation plans. We spend a lot of time together adhering to the social welfare value base, and you help create good relationships with residents, relatives, colleagues, and other internal and external partners.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks with the residents' best interests in focus. As a person, you are attentive and have the ability to take your own initiatives and create trusting relationships based on care and empathy. You work independently and have good collaboration skills as you actively participate in teamwork.

You are happy to share your knowledge and experience, and you are open to learning from others. You have a positive attitude and see it as your natural responsibility to contribute to a positive work environment. Together with your colleagues, you develop the pedagogical work based on the implementation plans and the routines of the operations.

As co-planning within LSS 4 occurs based on the right to full-time work, it is a prerequisite that you are flexible and solution-focused.

Requirements:

• Approved grades from one of the following programs - Child and Leisure Program (social orientation), Health and Care Program with interest and/or experience in disabilities, Leisure Leader Education with a focus on disabilities, or other education deemed equivalent.
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good reading comprehension.
• Basic digital competence.
• Driving license B for a car with manual transmission.

• Experience of a low-arousal working method.
• Experience of clarifying pedagogy.
• Experience of similar work.
• Experience of documentation.
• Personal suitability.
